Friday Morning
Just a standard Bobsled run, hate that first hill from the car such a way to start the ride, got a flat after catching a bad bump unseen in the dark. So sick of flats, thats like the 5th this month. Even after putting 35 psi in the tire I still get bit, time to get it back to tubeless I suppose. Ran bobsled in the dark, such a tough run on the rigid it really kills the fun, where is my 160mm travel bike that I don't have? Good ride just going t try to get one more before Sunday.
Tuesday Hammer
got out on the trail with my wifes blessing after her work and I was off to Corner Canyon to get at least 90 minutes of ride time. It was less busy than wednesdays it appeared but still very busy trails. Fall is in mid swing in the valley so the foliage was popping off. I had figured out a loop as I went and running low on options these days but I can't complain cause the corner canyon trails are spectacular. Decided to finish the trail off with Ann's was as usual a bad choice since every one and their mother were comoing up it as usual, I guess I am finally ready to accept it as a non signed uphill only. Oh man the riding is so good I just don't want winter to come! Got an incredible sunset as I rode down tot he valley, I stopped a few times for pics cause it was well worth it.

Red Eye Saturday
Had a rough night of no sleep so when 4:30 came around I still planned on going for that morning ride I was thinking about. I headed up Big Cottonwood Canyon to get a taste of some high altitude riding before the snow comes. Heading up the canyon I realized just how early it was as I only passed one car. As I got higher I was really hoping someone might be at the trailhead unloading. When I arrived there were just two cars and I figured I had come all this way I must rough it be brave. Well as I was unloading the bike there were howling coyotes all over the Canyon sending me into a spook. I took a minute and decided it was not worth it to feel like something was constantly stalking me this ride so I headed back down in the car defeated. I passed a few cars and could not locate bikes on them but I decided on a whim to turn around and see if they would be going my way. Turns out they were unloading on the bend but they were hunters......screw it I took back out the bike and started climbing into the darkness. It was frosty up high but not very cold, but cold enough for ice crystals to have formed on the trail. The climb was not a tough one with gears and once I hit scotts bypass I dropped down into Park City Resort. I took a really crap way down to shadow lake that was dull but did get me there. The it was a service road until I hit mid mountain where the trail became a pleasure. Still in complete darns I was spooked, it was all my own doing but when I saw lights coming up the canyon I felt much relief. I think there was a running event going on cause there were at least 50+ lights coming up the trail. I would have felt more relief if they weren't heading the other direction of where I was going but it would not be long tip light. Riding I saw a gray creature that had me thinking coyote but turned out it was a porcupine, my first real close up encounter. He wobbled down the trail and then made his way off and we were on our way. Hitting Pine Cone I was relieved to start the climb up. Was a nice crank up the aspens and thought I would check the phone and see how far I had to go, was shocked to see I had a lot of trail left to get back. The trail got more tough as it went, and light began to make it's way on the horizon. Soon I was hitting a little snow and still the trail got more steep until I sidelined the mountain and got view of the saddle and was massively relieved. Took a few and missed the sunrise by minutes but had to be on my way.

Friday Morning
Was set to ride with my homie but I had a busy morning so I was up at it for a early one. Was pretty happy when I got to the lot at 5:45 and had a rider start off when I arrived and one when I left, just a little closure that I was not the only one out in the creep darkness helps every time. I climbed up to Jacobs ladder and caught the nice view and took it in for a minute and then tore down on a solid rip. Another good ride in the bag!

Wednesday evening
Got the green light for a evening ride and thank goodness, the morning rides are great but this guy prefers the evenging riding. I set off on the lot with an idea to do the big loop, I got a little late start so I was planning a 90 minute ride or so. Feeling good riding on a nice evening, plenty of others were enjoying the same. Things went good and the light came on earlier than I hoped but I got the job done. Loving riding, its will soon be at an end winter is just around the corner.

Shoreline Monday
Got out nice and early monday morning, there was quite a bit of rain the night before but I was confident conditions would be fine. The alarm went off at 5am and I sat up in bed and then laid back feeling pretty dang comfortable and not motivated to go ride. My eyes were hard to keep open and as I gathered my things I cracked yawn after yawn. Heading to the car the streets were still slightly moist from late night rain. Yet I trucked on and loaded the car. As I hit the trail it was dark as usual and had my light go out on me twice. luckily it just fired right back up on its own steam but it had me wondering if I can make it thru this season on it. It is going on 4 or so years so it's time for a new setup this or next year I hope. Grabbed the full suspension so I could rip a run down Bobsled. Making my way to Dry Creek I was feeling soooo lazy and a couple of times debated turning back. But my dedication kept me going up until I reached Bobsled. I hate not having a larger traveling bike, or really a good full suspension. I remember how hard I use to be able to rip my Coil Air down Utah runs. I can't wait to get a new dope 150-160mm full suspension, just need 3-6grand. The sun was up and shining on the Great Salt Lake which was the highlight of this ride. The run back was quick and painless and caught the sun even on the last bit and it did feel glorious feeling it's rays for the last few weeks before the freeze comes. Oh sweet Utah you are glorious!

House to trail Saturday
Have been kicking around the idea of riding a place near my house called Dimple Dell, I have seen riders pop out on it on the far side and ride up the Little Cottonwood trail. So after a rough night of sleep I found myself awake a 4am so I rolled out of the house at 4:30am in the usual act of desperation to do whatever it takes to ride! I rolled down the pavement and found an entrance and had high hopes the first 20 minutes as I rode some decent trail. It is a interesting place, it's basically a wash from the Little Cottonwood Canyon run off which comes down from the ski resorts. Years of erosion has deposited a lot of soft sand. It was not long before I was walking sections that were too soft to ride but still more packed to soft ratio. The night was dark and it was spooky down there in the ravine but I pushed on and finally found my way to the end of the park and hit pavement to the LCC trail. Once on the real dirt I was feeling tired and lazy but I pushed on cause I'm a bad dude. Halfway up my tire went flat and that was enough for me to throw in the towel. I took pavement all the way home which was un eventful all the way home. Watching the towering Wasatch front sunrise was pretty dang good that morning. Strava failed on me, or phone did but no buggy.
